From Desk to Trail: Our Energising Trek to Ras il-Qammieħ

2 min read

At ISL, we believe that strong teams thrive not just through work but through meaningful experiences together. That’s why, on Saturday April 5th, we swapped our screens for joggers and sneakers and headed to Qammieħ early in the morning, for a refreshing team-building trek.

Tucked away in the northwest of Malta, Qammieħ treated us to stunning coastal views and fresh air. This was the perfect setting for us to connect, unwind, and enjoy some time away from our usual routines. Four energetic children and a sweet, obedient dog also joined us during our trek, making our experience even more memorable! As a tech company, we’re used to tackling challenges in the digital world, but this trek gave us a new kind of challenge- one that involved teamwork, communication, and just a little bit of legwork!

The Scenery

From rocky trails to breathtaking cliffside scenery, we took in every moment. The crystal-clear sea stretched out before us. It looked so inviting that we couldn’t help but stop to admire the view (some of us also felt the urge to take a dip). Along the way, we looked at ancient fossils embedded in the rocky terrain, walked past beautiful olive trees swaying in the breeze, and admired two giant rock formations that stood like silent guardians of the landscape. It was a reminder that collaboration doesn’t just happen at desks- it happens when we support each other, whether it’s on a tough project or a steep hiking path.

Beyond the exercise, the trek left us feeling recharged and inspired. There’s something special about being outdoors- it clears the mind and sparks creativity. This hike proved what we already know- great teams thrive on trust, support, shared experiences, and sometimes, good food.

We can’t wait for our next team-building experience. We’re always looking for ways to strengthen our team spirit- whether through exciting projects or outdoor challenges.
