What is an ISO Certification?

In a nutshell, an ISO (International Organization for Standardization) certification is a globally recognized certificate which is offered by independent bodies who are experts in their respective fields. These independent bodies prove that a particular organization meets a particular set of specific ISO standards. There are over 24,000 different ISO standards, with some of the most popular being:

📈 ISO 9001: Standard for Quality Management

🔒 ISO 27001: Standard for managing Information Security

🏥 ISO 45001: Standard for occupational Health and Safety Management Standard

The certification is typically achieved through a rigorous audit and assessment process conducted by said specialized individuals.

Is ISO 9001 worth obtaining?

Certification can be a useful tool to add credibility to your organization, by demonstrating that your product or service meets the expectations of your customers. ISO is very customer centric, allowing the customers to be at the core of all your operations.
